Consultation - We schedule an on site appointment to visit your site to get an overview of your needs, the terrain and constraints. This beginning stage is an important step in the design process and usually takes over an hour. Our fees are by the hour with a one hour minimum of $225 / hour.
Schematic Design Phase - During the Schematic Design Phase, we focus on developing a set of constraints of which will determine the direction of the overall design. Here, we take into consideration, views, wind, sun and shade, existing topography, trees and other elements. This phase helps us develop a functional base map from which to work.
Preliminary Phase - During the Preliminary phase, our clients have the opportunity to review all the ideas we've put forth on the plan. This phase is typically sent off to contractors to bid the project so that we can determine a budget, if there was not one given to us initially. Our clients input is imperative so that they ultimately get the landcape they want.
Final Master Plan - Once the final review of Preliminary plans are completed, we start refining our ideas with your input and come up with a final Master Plan. This comes with a plant list and picture page to show our clients what the proposed plants and hardscape elements will look like.
Construction Documents and Permit Plans - Once the Master Plan phase is completed, we start work on construction documents. These documents may be used for crew members to understand the designs intent, and also be used to aid in attaining a permit for a project. Most HOA's and municipalities require approval before work begins. This phase is vital to proper implementation.
Concept Vision Design - We use these designs to supplement our larger plans for areas of which need to be made more clear in the design. We also use this design for clients of whom just want a quick inspiration for what their garden might look like.
