Begin a Discussion

Let's discuss your project.

Thoughtful landscapes balance environmental responsibility with long-term value. We welcome conversations with clients, architects, and institutions seeking enduring, well-considered work.

We consider a limited number of projects each year to ensure a high level of attention and care. Submitting an inquiry does not obligate either party, but begins a thoughtful review process.

Enduring Landscapes Rooted in Place

What moves us

At DELA, our work is guided by careful observation, thoughtful design, and long-term stewardship. Landscapes are conceived through clear organizational frameworks that balance spatial order, planting design, and ecological performance. Each project is shaped to guide arrival, movement, gathering, and retreat, establishing a meaningful relationship between land, architecture, and garden.

Planting is integral to this process. Layered plant communities—anchored by evergreen structure, enriched through texture, and animated by seasonal rhythm—define character while supporting resilient, regionally appropriate landscapes. As landscape architects and certified arborists, we approach each site with respect for its ecological systems, cultural context, and capacity to mature gracefully over time.

Through this work, we seek to create landscapes that enrich daily experience, strengthen environmental performance, and foster lasting connections between people and place.

Team Effort

DELA maintains a collaborative studio culture grounded in professionalism, curiosity, and mutual respect. We value diverse perspectives and experiences, recognizing that thoughtful design emerges through dialogue, shared knowledge, and careful inquiry.

Our commitment to fairness and equal opportunity guides all aspects of our practice, from recruitment and professional development to collaboration and leadership. We strive to create an environment where ideas are exchanged openly and where design excellence is supported by integrity and accountability.

Our Collaborators

Collaboration is central to our work. We partner with clients, consultants, contractors, and builders who share a commitment to quality, stewardship, and thoughtful execution. From early planning through construction, we engage in open dialogue to ensure design intent is carried through with clarity and care.

Whenever possible, we work alongside local professionals and stakeholders, grounding each project in its regional context and community. Through collaboration and shared responsibility, we deliver landscapes that are cohesive, enduring, and deeply connected to place.
