Outdoor fireplaces are a great way to bring family and friends together. Utilizing all natural Tennessee flag stone to add to an already rich accent from the pool area, we pulled the stone theme into a covered space directly off the kitchen of the house. Designing this space directly off the kitchen, made this space a true accent of an already spectacular home.

The outdoor grill, green egg, sink and refrigerator, with black marble granite counter tops to contrast the natural stone elements, made the space pop with a modern yet classic feel. This space allows for a more relaxing environment while enjoying a meal with friends and family. 

Budgets are an important part of the design process. Spending too much money on your yard makes no sense. I have saved my clients thousands of dollars, by decreasing the size and scope of certain hard-scape elements. In doing this, we were able to use the saved funds within their budget to create a very private, low maintenance garden that brought a sense of tranquility to their backyard oasis.

This lovely Alpharetta home had a great opportunity to utilize a relatively flat yard for entertaining friends and family. There was no excavation needed and we were able to keep them way under budget. Keeping with the stone theme, we added a small cozy stone fireplace adjacent to a cooking space with a gorgeous granite counter top that pulled the color of the stone. Then we stepped the wall down 

We softened the wall by adding Arborvitae for screening, gardenias for beautiful color and fragrance as well as a mix of colorful perennials and cold hardy palms. 

It was such an honor to be a part of the Southeastern Horticultural Society's annual Southeastern Flower Show. The late Vince Duley was such a huge part of the show and a great horticulturalist himself. It was a blast meeting some great people, while showing off our firms' attention to detail and passion for garden design at the highest level. This romantic garden won several awards that year.

A carpet of Dwarf Mondo Grass acts as an evergreen base while Red Tulips and Blue Hyacinths emerge to define the space with a romantic color scheme.

Creating a very romantic setting like something you might see at an outdoor wedding. Beautiful flowers all around and the unique fireplace pulling off natural elements with outside the box creativity.

Adding a little white noise to a garden can be done very simply, without the costs of a water fall and major excavation. This bubble fountain adds just the right touch to the garden.

This unique fireplace is open on both side to allow heated spaces on both sides. Something like this has never been seen before, but is a concept that might take off soon. 

Working with my small team of awesome designers from UGA, we put together our pergola and fireplace at our shop, making it easy to set up at the show. However, bringing the largest trees the show has ever had, was a chore. The four Okame Cherries were 3" caliper and stood over 15' tall. We covered the top of the root ball with sheet moss from a local supplier.
