Arboriculture & Tree Consulting

Trees Shape Our Land

Trees shape the character, scale, and ecological health of the landscapes we inhabit. At Daniel Eginton Landscape Architecture, arboriculture is integrated directly into the design process—ensuring that trees are understood not simply as landscape elements, but as living systems that influence the long-term success of a site.

Led by Daniel Eginton, PLA, ASLA, ISA Certified Arborist, the practice bridges landscape architecture and professional arboriculture to guide responsible tree stewardship within both natural and built environments.

Through careful assessment, preservation planning, and restoration planting strategies, DELA helps clients and project teams protect existing canopy, navigate municipal regulations, and establish resilient landscapes that mature gracefully over time.

Our arborist consulting services support homeowners, architects, contractors, engineers, and developers throughout Georgia and the Southeast.

Tree Risk Assessments

Professional evaluation of tree health, structural integrity, and potential failure risk. Assessments help property owners and project teams make informed decisions regarding preservation, mitigation, or removal while protecting people, structures, and infrastructure.

Tree Preservation Planning

Preparation of tree protection strategies for development and construction sites. These plans identify valuable trees, establish protection zones, and guide contractors on how to preserve existing canopy during site work.

Tree Prescriptions for Permitting

Preparation of arborist prescriptions required by municipalities when trees are proposed for removal or disturbance. These reports document tree condition and provide professional justification for preservation, relocation, or removal.

Tree Replacement Plans

Development of planting plans that satisfy local tree ordinance requirements when trees are removed during development or construction. Replacement strategies consider species diversity, canopy restoration, and long-term site health.

Restoration Planting Plans

Design of ecological restoration planting following tree removals, site disturbance, or storm damage. These plans focus on rebuilding healthy canopy structure, soil recovery, and resilient plant communities.

Construction Tree Protection Monitoring

On-site consulting during construction to ensure tree protection measures are properly implemented. Monitoring helps prevent root damage, soil compaction, and canopy loss while maintaining compliance with municipal requirements.
