Daniel Eginton is the founder and principal of DELA (Daniel Eginton Landscape Architecture) Daniel began his career on Long Island New York. At age 17, Daniel was introduced to a Landscape Architect in Middle Island, New York, where he fell in love with the idea of designing beautiful outdoor spaces.
Daniel graduated from the University of New York with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture in 1990 and graduated from the University of Georgia’s Environmental Design School in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
While attending Georgia, in 1992, Daniel interned with Walt Disney World’s Epcot Center in Orlando Florida. There, Daniel helped design, install and maintain some of the world’s most well-respected public park gardens. Daniel began working for Environmental Design Group out of college under the direction of Landscape Architect, William Waddell. There, he designed and installed countless beautiful commercial and residential landscape projects.
In 1996, Daniel began his entrepreneurial career in the design /build arena where he won many awards through MALTA and the Southeastern Horticulture Society’s Annual Southeastern Flower Show. Daniel was a guest speaker for AIA (American Institute of Architects) “Good Landscape Design Practices.” His lifetime of experience has developed a "less is more" philosophy and a passion for native planting and sustainable design principles that guide the firm today. Daniel is a proud father of an amazing young man and devotes all of his spare time to his son, friends and family.
